Highvale has for several years reaped the rewards of having an outstanding Language Other Than English (LOTE) program - and this year it became even stronger.
German is taught throughout the school and we celebrate Oktoberfest each year. Children can participate in various competitions and award programs linked with other schools on a regional and statewide level. German is taught by Frau Salles, an experienced and dedicated teacher.
Highvale also added Mandarin - Chinese as part of its LOTE program, becoming one of only a few Victorian primary schools to offer two languages. Mandarin is taught by an experienced and dedicated native-speaking teacher Zi Quing Liu.
