Parent and Friends Association

The ‘Parents and Friends Association’ (PFA) plays an integral part in Highvale Primary School’s vibrant community.  Since 1969 the Highvale Primary School Parents and Friends Association (PFA) has worked passionately to provide essential support to our school, especially our students and families.

Staffed by a team of parent members and working in consultation and agreement with the Principal, the PFA supports our school through a number of key areas.  They include:

The organisation or support of key social and school community events

We provide and support extended social opportunities for Highvale students, families and friends by organising and assisting with fun events such as Twilight Sports, Fun Run, Kids only Disco, School Production, Mothers’ Day Stall, Fathers’ Day breakfast and Carols evening, just to name a few.

The PFA raises funds each year to purchase equipment such as:

  • ICT equipment –iPads, Apple TVs, Interactive Whiteboards

  • Library books and class readers - by raising book credits in the Scholastic Book Fair

  • New and upgraded play equipment

  • Equipment for Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Robotics programs

If you are interested in working collaboratively with other parents and teachers to enhance your child’s/children’s educational experience, then the PFA would love to hear from you.

All assistance is highly appreciated, whether you wish to become a committee member, or give us a helping hand on a regular/ occasional basis.  We would also welcome any fundraising ideas you may have.

Please fill out a ‘PFA Expression of Interest” form, available at the school office and our President will contact you.
